Email Mrs. Charity Mile regarding opportunities for ARCHE to show hospitality to the homeschoolers of Saskatchewan.
It is our chance here in Regina to be the hosts of this year’s SHBE convention. I hope you are all planning on attending! It is great when we can come to convention, but don’t have to factor in the cost of travel and accomodations (although when else can you stay at the Hotel Saskatchewan for $99 a night? 🙂 so no judgement from me if you decide to make it a staycation! )
We do need some volunteers for various times throughout convention – please let me know if you are interested in helping out, everything from some people at the registration table, to people who are willing to be in each workshop session and count the attendees at the session, to door security at the vendor hall, etc. The schedule is basically complete barring any unforseen circumstances, so you would likely be able to sign up for a particular session now.
I am going to have a craft prep afternoon here Wednesday February 14 from 1-3:30 or so. If you have construction paper, drawing paper (even newsprint), yarn, straws, pony beads, toilet paper rolls, paper plates, popsicle sticks, flat rocks, that you would like to donate, please let me know. I don’t know how many of you are aware but the SHBE convention is designed and priced to be cost recovery only. We budget and price accordingly to not make a profit. So by cleaning out some of your craft materials you no longer need, you can help us out a lot!
Even if you have items not listed, let me know and I will see if we can find a creative way to use them!
My house is 67 Windfield Road and if you can come help us do some prep please let me know. Many hands make light work!
